Desktop V1: The Productivity & Gamification System

Why I Built This

LifeUp, a powerful to do app with local hosting capabilities is a potential I wish to harness. As the goal is to gamified real life, I don't wish to level up quickly but proportional to my actions.

Hence, I want to simulate as much of real life as possible. From an economic system that inflates the price if I spend my money recklessly to a calculation of a task down to the contribution of each individual skills.

How It Solves It

First, I created the maximum level of each skills, 1000 (defined in my skills page), then I developed the skills and earning system as both (I believe) are the determining factor in other sections

In those two sections, I created a formula for creating tasks, how products/items are created in the shop, how it correlates with real life currency and simulates inflation and deflation.

What This Achieved

I achieved my goal of creating a more systematic gamified system. With the goal of everyday tasks and money is generated and used achieved. Dashboards are used mainly for elegance as too much text might feel boring for a desktop app. There's also the mailing system, but that's quite simple as it relies on Mailgun and I simply create the HTML template with the text summarized by 3 LLM.

Possible Improvements

Although the improvements are endless, I decided to transition to Tauri as I believe electron removes much of "real time" interactions even if all the code are local.
